The protest initiated in Niger Delta University by the affected (200 final year Engineering) students which started as non-violent has taken a new VIOLENT turn.
The protest began when 200 Level Final year Engineering students were asked to repeat 200 Level in new faculty. This happened as a result of a Newly implemented Law in the Faculty. The Law state that any Student that fails the 3 Core Engineering Courses will withdraw from the Faculty. After the implementation of the Law, over 20 Final year Engineering students were affected and asked to leave the Faculty and start in their 200 Level.
