River State Governor, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sacked Ndubuisi Nwankwo, an engineer, as a Member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to All Progressives Congress, APC.
Nwankwo was a Member of the Governorship Inauguration Committee setup to usher in the administration of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike anchored on ‘New Rivers Vision’.
He was later appointed a member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
Governor Wike felt betrayed by Ndubuisi Nwankwo for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to the All Progressive Congress(APC) thinking that the Supreme Court will nullify the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State as the election tribunal and appeal court had earlier sacked Wike.
